In World of Warcraft, Armors usually disenchant into strange dust, while weapons disenchant into magic essence, greater magic essence and shards.
Dust sells regularly on the AH foe 50 silver to 1 buy tera gold. When picking up even a level 6 enchanted piece of armor from fishing or hunting, it can be disenchanted by a novice Enchanter to 2 strange dusts with no problem.
Even though leveling enchanting in WOW is expensive, and many people avoid enchanting, still I recommend you pick up enchanting as your second profession if you hard to choose one.
When you disenchant items, you get enchanting materials such as "Strange Dust", "Magic Essence", and "Glimmering Shards". Any enchanted item noted by a green name in the game can be descanted and provides you with some of these items.
Do this a max number of five times an hour. After your farming session, go back to your nearest auction place and sell the things you disenchanted to WOW money.
Remember, when you disenchanted the blues you got Small Radiant Shards. This item is popular and always on demand, you can sell 4 stack for 16-17 WOW gold, so you can make about 60 WOW gold for 16-20 shards a session.
